Ancient Homelands | Second Life

The big news is that I partnered with my SL friend Epos Imako and I now have his IMAKON vendors in my store. Epos makes some the best scripted product in Second Life. I have expanded the Ancient Homelands mainland land holdings and moved the store into a new building. This seems to be my “modus operandi” in Second Life. First I buy some land, then more, then more, then more. Then I move to an even bigger location finally ending up with my own sim. Well, not this time. My 8,277 mainland property is enough for now and with the new store I have more space to put new product into than I will build in the next two years. I am now right next to the NCI (New Citizens Inc.) sandbox on the Hamnida sim which is directly adjacent to the Second Life South Welcome Area. My new Lecture – Podium is now on sale. It was first given away to teachers at the EDTECH retreat during a recent convention and has received rave reviews. You can read about it below. The Safe House is nearing completion and Ancient's Gazebo was just this past weekend put on sale. The Safe House is another Ancient Homelands home with the full systems treatment of security, windows, doors, lights, built in balcony teleporter and our exclusive built in furniture rezzer with high quality free furniture upon demand. Ancient's Gazebo has dozens of high quality textures in the texture changer, so you can mix and match parts of the gazebo until it perfectly fits your land. I have not gotten out on the grid lately to take pictures and post them on Flickr but during this spring I will venture out to the newest builds and takes some photos. Epos Imako makes really good product. Not only does he release bug free designs but he stands behind everything he sells. Partnering with Epos and putting his IMAKON vendors in my store I can now sell his famous temp-rezzer, and his new Sim Rader 3D which provides you extensive information about the traffic on your sim, in addition to ban, eject, TP home and unsit any avatar on your land. Epos’s Sim Mapping service creates high quality sculpt maps of your sim or just your parcel delivered in a nice table display. The Rezz Positioner which is in wide use all over the grid is now for sale in my store along with the IMAKON Dome Factory and many other quality scripted products.

A professional grade lecture - podium for Second Life educators and business people wanting a quality podium to speak from. The attractive speaker’s podium with finely cut and fitted edges comes with a high quality wood finish and tan leather top surface large enough to put a laptop or a presentation display controller. The realistic microphone stands on either side have textured microphones that closely resemble real life. An avatar must first select Stand and then is presented with a menu of four stand positions which will be increased in number in future releases. On the front of the lecture – podium is a modifiable sign area where you can drag your company or school logo texture to. The lecture – podium is a 20 prim unit that comes with Copy-Modify-No Transfer permission and is easily positioned in even tight spaces.

With a footprint of 20 meters wide by 24 meters deep and the built in Ancient Homelands Free Furniture Rezzer, the Safe House makes an ideal starter home. The walled compound was originally designed for placement in areas of the grid that have so much bad architecture and prim junk right outside your window you could not stand to look at it, but the price of the land was so cheap it was hard to not locate there. With walls high enough to block the view of the neighbors, yet leave plenty of sky and light coming in, the Safe House has served its purpose on mainland for hundreds of customers. It has all the features of our larger Ancient Homelands houses, with the Home Control System for doors, windows and lights. The small interior balcony is large enough for a bed or sitting arrangement and with the built in teleporter getting to the balcony is just a right click away. The Safe House has a one meter deep foundation for placement on rugged terrain and with its dark high quality exterior stone textures, stained glass windows, tile roof and heavy wood door this house fits perfectly on sims that have a pre-1900’s theme. The interior is attractive light textured stucco with a high quality textured wood plank floor and ceiling that works well with many types of furniture. Inside the Ancient Homelands store there is a miniature module of the house.

Ancient’s Gazebo has a lot to like about it. With its 9.5 meter diameter footprint and 12 prims, the gazebo comes in Copy, Modify and No-Transfer. What is nice about that Modify is you can Edit the gazebo, select both Stretch check boxes and reduce the gazebo down to the exact size you require to fit into any location. Looking at the gazebo from the front, the first pillar on your left is clickable only by the owner which brings up the texture and tint changer menu. The base, floor, seating, pillars and dome have many different stone, metal, wood texture and tinting combinations. Each has at least 25 high quality textures to choose from that can be mixed and matched for a perfect appearance fit in your architectural environment. The single prim beach seat sits up to 10 avatars in many different seating animations and the dome has a built in night light script that automatically lights the area under the dome on sims that have a lighting cycle that turn to nighttime. Inside the Ancient Homelands store is a fully working model of the gazebo with a script that allows anyone to change textures and tint. On the roof of the store is the full sized gazebo.

Our product line of commercial drink dispensers is being designed. Each product will have Modify rights so the new product owner can brand the drink dispenser and the cups and glasses with their own logo. The first product to reach testing is the Office Coffee Maker with steaming pot built around the same commercial coffee maker design I see here in my real life offices. The coffee maker and pot dispenses steaming mugs of coffee, with each mug having plenty of space for your company logo. In the design phase is the espresso machine, the multi-drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) dispenser and the ever popular multi-cocktail dispenser with multiple types of drinking cups and glasses, all of which can be logo branded on the machine and on the drink holder by the new owner. This line is ideal for your SL office, or as a gift through our gift vendor to your customers. The full product line will be in the store summer of 2010.

These are 1 prim rugs with 15 textures each. The textures are built into the no-modify texture changer script inside each rug. Only the rug owner can change the texture by clicking on the rug. Our rugs use the highest quality oriental rug textures with a no-lag fast texture changer script. All our rugs are resizable. Ancient Homelands rugs are delivered in the 5x5 meter size because this size best displays the textures of the rugs for your initial review. The rugs textures are professionally created using fast loading Targa or .tga textures and once your web browser has loaded the fully rezzed texture into its cache you can cycle through the rugs faster. The Oriental Round rugs have only 6 textures and these are free in the Ancient Homelands store. Rugs are delivered with copy, modify and no transfer permissions. The texture changer script is no modify.

L ocated on the roof of the Ancient Homelands store, the Builders Cabin is on the same sim as the important New Citizens Incorporated (NCI) South sandbox and educational center. The cabin is a fully Hippo Technology compliant building with Hippo security, group, rent, media, doors and windows contained within the rental box for the renter. Renters on Ancient Homelands are managed by Bot Core the service bot who is responsible for automating the rentals and the group membership for rezzing rights on Ancient Homelands property. The cabin contains an optional furniture rezzer for tenants who prefer not to buy their own furniture. With a balcony and adequate main floor space and the NCI sandbox within sight of the front door, the builders cabin is an ideal home shelter for the aspiring builder in Second Life.

T he 103 prim Sky House is spacious for one avatar and ideal for a couple. Making use of rich textures and Art Nouveau windows and doors the Sky House has flowing lines and an attractive mini-mansion appearance. This is an original design by Ancient Homelands, using the highest quality textures, a built in home control system and optional furniture. Features included in the Sky House are Home Control System for doors, windows and lights, built in furniture rezzer with 10 custom furniture pieces, many with built in texture changers, built in balcony and roof teleporters with no configuration required. Furniture can be individually rezzed or all at once. Fully rezzed furniture adds 14 prims. The Sky House is packaged with Rez-Faux technology for perfect rez and easy operation. Dimensions are 20meters wide by 20 meters deep by 10 meters high. Lifetime upgrades to all registered owners.

O ur 13 prim Vendor Booth is spacious enough for up to 36 vendor panels, plus store signs on both ends. Making use of rich textures the Vendor Booth has flowing lines and an attractive appearance. This is an original design by Ancient Homelands, using the highest quality textures, a built in texture and tint control system and optional furniture. The available texture and color choices are: Texture & color inside, outside, floor, flag and flag pole. The inside has 24 textures and 31 tint colors, the outside has 20 textures and 31 tint colors and the floor 36 textures and 31 tint colors. An optional package is included in the purchase box and that includes Easy vendor panel ready to sell and pay, give panel for giving anything, desktop give panel, stool with long animated sitting script, table with 35 textures. Footprint for the Vendor Booth is 10m Wide x 4m Deep x 9m High.
